Name:
Moonstar
Clan:
ShadowClan
Rank:
Leader
Age:
34 moons
Appearance
.E.y.e.s.
One of Moonstar's most prominent features is her eyes. They stand out clearly during the day, but at night, they glow like the shimmering rays of the moon. Her eyes are definitely the most attracting feature of her body, and not one cat would doubt it after taking a long look into them. They show flashing emotions; emotions that spark so quickly you don't even have time to register them. Her eyes are like deep pools of emotion, each one swirling in those misty depths. They are the color of sparkling sapphires, and may darken into a stormy blue whenever she is angered. One look into these eyes and you will immediately get caught in a trance. So beautiful are her eyes that you may never want to look out of them...
.B.o.d.y.
Moonstar has a fairly small sized body, efficient for running swiftly after prey and dashing after lizards and rabbits. Even though she has a small body, she has strong legs which can carry her far. She loves to run because of that, and she enjoys the feel of the wind whipping through her sleek fur. The wind energizes her, and she feels like she can run forever. Some of her clan mates tease her about secretly being a WindClan cat. Not only is her body small, but it's slender and lean; though that doesn't mean she doesn't have muscles. Oh yeah, she has muscles all right, whether you can see them or not. They ripple secretly beneath her sleek coat, and she proves that they are there when battling. One thing I would advise you not to do is underestimate her. She is a time bomb, just waiting to explode.
.F.u.r.
Moonstar's coat is beautiful, to say the least. To tell you the truth, she resembles the perfect image of a StarClan warrior. Her pure white fur is long and sleek, only growing thick during the winter to provide her warmth and comfort. She is quite a sight to behold, and not many cats who have seen her have a hard time admitting it.
Personality:
Moonstar is well, an interesting character. If ever you heard of Yellowfang, she is a younger version of the spunky old she-cat. Her leadership duty is very important to her, and she vowed from the very beginning that she would serve her clan exceptionally well. Moonstar I must say is very clever and quick with her knowledge. She is not a cat that is usually lost for words. Rarely will you ever see her stumped because she always seems to have something interesting to say. She can be very moody at times. If you say something against her opinion she has the wistful ability to quickly prove you wrong. She knows what is best for her clan mates, and she never does hesitate to do what she think is best. In fact, she cares for all of her clan mates, and that is one of the main reasons of why she is always so tough on them.
Another interesting trait of Moonstar’s is that she never truly shows her feelings. She is very reserved, once you really get to know her, and so her thoughts and feelings are often blocked. Since most of her littermates died before she could get to know them, she isn’t use to confiding in others and so whenever one wants her to confide in them she usually snaps at them to go away, even though deep inside she’s dying to do so. She doesn’t understand friendship, in a way, since most of her life she was always training to become a future leader. She is shy actually, when it comes to her inner being, but she will never admit that to anyone. She is very strong at heart, even though she is shy deep down, and will always stand up for what she believes in. She’s good with her clan when they are in need of her help, but when it comes to friendship she shies away like a deer caught in headlights. Moonstar is never at a loss with words and she tends to sound cruel, but she is only trying to get her clan mates to listen and understand. If she hurts you with her words, she probably most of the time does not mean it. She is not a heartless cat like many often think, and those who do think that are the ones that barely really know her.
As I've mentioned before, Moonstar has a sharp tongue, and one would not doubt her words once she has said them. She has such strong will and determination that if ever a cat doubted her loyalty, they would be signing their death wish. And even though she has a fierce tongue, she doesn't get in many bad temperaments as one would expect. She has a playful mood as well, but rarely does she ever show that. And one would think she wasn't passionate either - but look deep down in those sapphire eyes of hers and one would find out that that isn't true. She dreams of one day falling in love, but whenever a tom feels fond towards her she feels insecure and then becomes very cross. It’s hard to get past that tough shell of hers, but once you do you won't regret it. Within those fierce, fiery depths, she has a brilliant heart of gold.
History:
[x]Kittenhood[x]
Moonkit was born a kit within ShadowClan, and she will die a loyal warrior of ShadowClan once it is her time to join the ranks of StarClan. The moment she was born a kit of her mother, Maplestream, and her father, Ravenwing, two of the most loyal warriors of ShadowClan, the whole clan new she would be a cat to be proud of. She was fully spirited the moment she was born - with that sparkling silver coat and spunky little attitude, not one cat doubted that she'd be loyal to her clan to the end. She was always very playful during her kithood, being the spunkiest in her litter. She was quite a handful as well - it took more than her mother and father to handle her, and she got in trouble more times than she could count. But every cat in ShadowClan adored her.
[x]Apprenticeship[x]
When it was her time to be made apprentice, more than half of the warriors were eagerly anticipating her ceremony, in hopes to be her mentor and transform her into a great and fierce warrior of ShadowClan. And she did receive a good, loyal warrior to be her mentor, and he taught her all that he knew, and more. Not one day that passed in her apprenticeship did she not learn something significant or valuable in her training, and she kept it all in mind. She wanted to be the greatest warrior of ShadowClan - or close to it. One time when she was about nine moons old, she caught the scent of a baby fox on their territory. A patrol was with her, but she was the first one to scent it. She was foolish enough to slip away without them noticing, and when she ran face-to-face with the fox, they battled ferociously. In the end Moonpaw ended up winning, chasing the fox off ShadowClan's territory and hissing furiously. When she came back with many scratches but no major wounds, the patrol was waiting, and they thought it a sign from StarClan that she would be a great, strong warrior one day. And to this day, they were right.
[x]Warriorship[x]
At about eleven moons she was made into a warrior, finally, and her parents and her mentor stood proudly in the sidelines as she took her warrior name - Moonfire. That had been the greatest day of her life, and the proudest, or so she thought. Moonfire was proud to be called a loyal warrior of ShadowClan. She hunted for her clan every day, and because she was so good at it often asked to lead the patrols. She also received an apprentice - even before the other warriors who had not yet been given one. She felt guilty for awhile, because she knew it hadn't been fair for them, but once she started training her apprentice she couldn't have been happier. Her apprentice was very spirited and lively, just like she had been, so they got along well. The day it was her turn to sit and watch her apprentice be turned into a warrior, she couldn't have been prouder. She felt even happier than when she herself had been turned a warrior. Honestly, she didn't think anything could get any better. She was so happy within ShadowClan, where she felt like she deeply belonged.
[x]Deputyship[x]
It was one stormy, fateful day that the current deputy of ShadowClan died from a border fight. WindClan had been frequently trying to steal prey from their side of the border, so when WindClan had the audacity to do it again, ShadowClan had no other choice but to attack this time. Moonfire was beside her deputy, fighting freely side by side when she saw him get murdered right before her eyes. She had wanted to help, had planned to help, but there had been two warriors on her at once and if she stopped fighting for just a moment, she would've been dead too. Moonfire fought bravely and strongly; it was no doubt she would give up her life for her clan, and it was no surprise when the leader announced Moonfire as the next deputy. And in that moment she was chosen, her eyes lit up with such a passionate fire, that the whole clan knew she had always wanted this from the start of when she had been a kit. It had been her dream, and now it had finally come true. She could finally serve her clan as deputy, and serve it well she did.
[x]Leadership[x]
Many moons later, ShadowClan had found badgers living in a cave outside of their camp. With the approval of her leader, Moonfire had sent out a large patrol to get rid of them. But it was too late, for badgers had already started to attack their camp. The camp was soon in the midst of chaos. Moonfire and her warriors were fighting as hard as they could, but not one noticed a badger slip into the leaders den. Soon, ShadowClan was able to drive all of the badgers out of their territory, but not before several deaths and many injuries. After Moonfire sent a patrol to check and see if they had truly left ShadowClan's territory, she went to check on her leader. She found her lying sprawled out on the den floor, dead. The badger had killed her with one mighty strike of his claw. When the patrol came back Moonfire broke the news, and ShadowClan was left to grieve by their former leader's side. The next day, Moonfire went to the moonpool and there she got her nine lives. She was now Moonstar, and with the strength of StarClan by her side, she will rule and make ShadowClan strong.

Roleplay Sample
A bird chirped and fluttered its wings in the distance, then turned silent within the steady flow of the forest. The warm rays of the sun was shining through the branches of the trees, tinting the forest floor a brilliant shade of gold. But despite the suns warm rays, the atmosphere was still coated with an icy chill, and the clouds that blanketed silverpelt threatened for worser weather to come. Leaf-bare was slowly taking its toll upon the forest, and new-leaf had yet to arrive . A patch of silver tabby fur revealed through the brambles, and a stunning she-cat with piercing sapphire eyes stepped out, lifting her head and opening her mouth to drink in the scents of the forest. She scented nothing, not even a faint scent of mouse, and her fur prickled with indignation. The HiddenClan leader knew that prey wouldn't be bustling abundantly about until the middle of new-leaf, but it was always good to try and expect some around. The stunning silver she-cat then pinned her ears against the back of her head and treaded on in silent determination.
Moonstar padded through the dense trees HiddenClan's territory, her head held high as she sniffed at the air once more, hoping for at least something. Mouse! Ears flickering at the sound of the scuttling within a bush, the silver tabby she-cat stepped lightly towards the source of the prey, moving silently as the whispering breeze ruffled her pelt. Suddenly she stopped, paws liftd in mid-air, and twitched her nose in surprise when the mouse poked his head out to look around. Quick as lightning, Moonstar lashed out and striked at the mouse with her unsheathed claws, hearing it squeal as she gave it the death bite. Once she felt it fall limp in her jaws, Moonstar buried it in the dust below the leaves of the bush and stood up to pad once more through the forest, satisfied with her catch. Stupid creature. she thought with a flick of her ears. It had nearly begged to be caught. After awhile, Moonstar had successfully captured a squirrel, a sparrow, and a couple more mice. Feeling like she had done enough hunting for the time being, the leader headed elsewhere.
As Moonstar approached Whispering Willow, Moonstar purred lightly and blinked through the sunlight that struck her face. It's so peaceful here. she thought, padding towards the center of the sunny heather patch. It was quiet here, like it always was, and soon Moonstar found herself sitting beneath the willow, her long fluffy tail wrapped around her slender body. She glanced around her surroundings, and was suddenly struck with the scent of one of her clan members. Ears pricking, Moonstar soon caught sight of Dawnspirit, who had just caught a rabbit. Standing up, Moonstar began to pad towards her, her tail lifted in greeting. "Hello, Dawnspirit." Moonstar mewed, glancing down at the rabbit that was now lying dead near her paws. "Excellent catch you got there."
